Needs assistance in forwarding phone
I need my calls to go to someone else if I don't answer
Environment
- Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP)
Resolution
Note: USD is currently switching to a different VOIP system. The steps will vary based on if your phone has been updated
Call forwarding can be initiated in multiple ways
From the physical phone
- Press the button under ….. until you see Forward
- Select the option you want to change using down on middle circular button on phone
- Press button under Select
- Press the right side of circular button to turn option On
- Press down on circular button and enter destination's phone number including area code (605-658-xxxx)
- Press down on circular button and enter the number of rings you want your phone to ring before forwarding
- Press the button under Set
- Press Back arrow to Exit out of menu
- Make a test call to ensure the forwarding was successful
Note: If forwarding to a long-distance number, any forwarded call may have applicable long distance fees billed to the voip number (605-357-XXXX)
If your phone has the Coyotes Mascot Head image
From the Webex web portal
- Sign in to the Webex web portal
- Click Settings
- Click Calling
- Toggle Call Forwarding. in the Call forwarding section
- Check the preferred option
- Forward all calls, Forward calls during busy lines, or Forward calls when not answered
- Click Save
- Once checked, a phone number can then be entered
Note: Add number without 9 or 9-1
- Click Save
From Webex
- Open Webex
- Click Call settings in the bottom left corner
- Click Open Call Preferences
- Click add number
- Once added, the option to forward to that number will be available
- Review the other preferences if needed
- Click Save
