Overview
Storefront is a secure, user-friendly online interface that allows departments and student organizations to offer products and services for purchase. It serves as a digital storefront where students and customers can browse, select, and pay for items directly.
Storefronts are appropriate for departments and student organizations that need to accept online payments for:
- Merchandise sales
- Deposits, service / application fees
- Departmental products
- Event registrations
- Camps
Before requesting a Nelnet Storefront page, student organizations must first obtain approval of the charge from Student Services. To submit a fee request or change, please contact Student Services.
Benefits
- Each storefront is assigned a unique link and webpage with information specific to the individual product / fee.
- Storefront pages can be linked directly to the department or student organization website. Pages can also be embedded in a QR code for easy mobile access.
- Shoppers can use e-checks and credit cards to pay for purchases with all major credit cards accepted.
- Shoppers are sent a confirmation email of their order
- The department or student organization is notified when an order has been completed
- Sales are updated directly to general ledger accounts in Banner.
Target Completion Date
Requests for storefront products are processed within a week depending on the project’s complexity.
