Banner Access Request

Overview

Supervisors must complete the Permissions Request form for employees to access:

  • Banner HR
  • Banner Finance
  • Banner Student
  • SDezBuy Purchasing
  • SNAP Time Entry Approval
  • Xtender (Banner document imaging)

Note: Access to Self Service Banner (SSB) is automatically set up for faculty, students and advisors based on their role. 

Access to resources in Banner is granted through Banner Security Groups, each group containing collections of screens relevant to a particular system role.  Requests for access are routed through campus data stakeholder(s) for approval.  One or more of the following USD stakeholders are consulted on a request:  

  • Admissions
  • Finance
  • Financial Aid
  • Human Resources
  • Purchasing Office
  • Registrar
  • Research Accounting
  • Student Accounts Receivable

Target Completion Date

Access can take up 15 business days once the request has been approved by the stakeholders
