Overview
Cognos is the Board of Regents system-approved reporting tool for Banner.
Requested access can be set up as either:
- Report Developer - To build and run reports
- Report Consumer - To run pre-built reports
Supervisors must complete this request for employees.
In some cases, approval to the Cognos Folder Security Group may be required from data stakeholders in addition to their supervisor. Once access has been granted by RIS, the requestor is notified.
Note: All requests for access are subject to approval by IT personnel in conjunction with the corresponding data steward for the division whose information is being sought.

Target Completion Date
If approved, Access will be available within 10 business days

USD Staff, Faculty, Advisors, and Student Employees, as needed
