D2L - Logging Into or Accessing D2L, Setup D2L Access

Issue/Question

I cannot log into D2L

I don't know my login information for D2L

Sometimes I am able to log in to D2L and other times I am not. I have tried clearing the cookies and restarting.

Environment

• Desire2Learn(D2L)

Cause

D2L uses your primary school email address and password to log in 

Resolution

1. Log in directly to D2L 
     or Access using D2L Quick Link at Coyote One Stop
   1. Click on Quick Links, then Desire2Learn (D2L)
2. Log in to D2L using 
   1. Username: Full USD email address (First.Last@coyotes.usd.edu)
      Note: If you attend another Board of Regents school full time, your login will be that school's email address
   2. Password: USD password
      Note: See D2L Authentication Error before resetting your password
3. If you need to reset your password, follow the Article Resetting USD Account Password

Note for Students: Student access to D2L is not available until the student has completed registration

Note for D2L Admins: Users who authenticated internally or use a manually created account must use D2L Local Login or type d2l.sdbor.edu/d2l/local

Note for Faculty/Staff: Access to D2L will not be available until the epaf has been processed by HR and you are listed as the Instructor of Records for a course.
