How do I use the IDW 130E dubbing station?

Instructions for Dubbing VHS to DVD via Sorry Recorder in Digital Editing Suite
- Load a recordable disc into the DVD tray. Select DVD on the front panel to control the DVD settings.
- *If you are using a DVD-RW, you’ll need to format it:
- Press DVD on the front panel
- Press SYSTEM MENU on the remote control
- Select Disc Setting and press ENTER
- Select Disc Format and press ENTER
- On the remote control, press REC MODE repeatedly to select the appropriate quality. Standard DVD-R modes are:
- HQ – 60min
- HSP – 90min
- SP – 120min
- LSP – 150min
- ESP – 180min
- LP – 240min
- EP – 360
- SLP – 480min
- Load your VHS tape into the VHS deck. On the front panel, select VCR to control the VHS tape
- Start playing the VHS tape, and press pause at the point where you want to start dubbing. (Note: if using the remote, VIDEO must be selected as an input at this point to operate the VCR function of the player)
- Press VIDEO on the recorder (Not the remote) - Dubbing will begin
- To stop dubbing, press the stop button on the remote. It will take a few moments for the recorder to stop. Dubbing will also stop automatically when tape runs out
- To add more clips from other VHS tapes to the DVD, insert the new VHS tape and continue at step 3 When you are finished, continue to the next section
Finalizing the disc:
To play the disc on computers and most other devices, you will need to finalize the DVD. This can be done using the remote in a few simple steps:
- Before finalization, play back your DVD and make sure everything is recorded correctly.
- Ensure the DVD Input is selected by pressing the DVD button located at the top of the remote
- Press STOP to stop playback and then press SYSTEM MENU on the remote.
- Select "Disc Setting" and press ENTER.
- Select "Disc Finalize" and press ENTER
- In the confirmation screen, select “Finalize”, and "Ok".
Once finished, eject the disc and test the DVD on another player or computer.
