Computer Locked By Bitlocker

Issue/Question

I cannot access my computer

Error: Bitlocker recovery Enter recovery key

Environment

• USD Laptops
• Bitlocker

Cause

• External drive is connected
• Bitlocker determined hardware change

Resolution

1. Verify that no external drive connected
2. If external drive connected, unplug
3. If no external connected, choose skip this drive until you get to the option to restart
4. Reboot computer
