Answer

  1. First year students must be officially accepted to the University before they are able to apply for University Housing. There may be delays for some students after being admitted due to system errors
  2. After being accepted, first year students must pick up their USD email in order to log into the University Housing Portal
  3. Once both of these steps are complete, students must wait until the University housing application opens. For first year students, the application opens in early October
    • Note: The portal is occasionally shut down for maintenance, which may impact your ability to fill out the application
  4. The application can be found on the University Housing Portal
  5. Click Academic Year Housing
  6. Select the term you would like to apply for and click Apply
