Classroom Raising Desk Not Moving Up or Down

Issue/Question

The raising desk is showing error E12 on the table controls and is non-operational.

The raising desk is showing LOC on the table controls and can not adjust the table up and down.

Environment

  • Steelcase raising desk

Resolution

  1. Press and hold the M button (about 5 seconds) until the LED display switches from LOC to the height number
  2. Release the button. The handset is now unlocked and fully functional
  3. Try raising and lowering the desk using the Up and Down arrows
    Note: Before raising or lowering the table make sure the side cart and monitor are clear from the table and that there are no obstacles in the way of the table
