Accessing Pearson First Day Access Materials the First Time with Redemption Code

Question

I cannot access my Pearson First Day Access materials (FDAs)

I am on the Pearson site and cannot find the pop-up to redeem the code

Note: if you are in BIOL151 follow: Unable to Access Pearson Site for BIOL151

1. The site should be accessed via the link in D2L
2. Make sure pop-ups are not being blocked
3. Restart your browser if you had to change the pop-up setting
4. Finding the Pearson redemption code in the elibrary
   1. In the online bookstore eLibrary 
      1. Go to USD's Online Bookstore 
      2. Sign in with your USD credentials
      3. In the upper right-hand corner, click on your name 
      4. Select eLibrary 
5. Click the access redemption link for your materials
   Note: this will take you to VitalSource which is where the materials are stored
6. Login to VitalSource (create an account if you do not have one using your coyotes email)
7. The book will be shown and next to it is a small informational bubble
8. Click the informational bubble next to the book
9. Select Courseware
10. Copy access code
11. Input access code copied from VitalSource reveal code in #10
12. Now you should have access
    Note: this process only needs to be done once, the course ware will then be available either through the D2L (under Resources, select USD Bookstore & Bookshelf and your materials will be in the bookshelf ) or by going directly to Pearson's site
