How do I set up the iPad I was assigned
Environment
Cause
Employee is assigned a Facilities Management iPad
Resolution
The following are automatically installed using Jamf on the facilities iPads
Note: An Apple ID should not be setup on these devices
- Outlook
- WebTMA Go
- Chrome Browser
- Excel
- Shortcut to FM Sharepoint
Facilities Employees follow these steps
Note: An Apple ID should not be setup on these devices
- Tap English
- Tap United States
- Tap Set Up Manually
- Tap Eduroam
- Enter your username@usd.edu
- Enter your Password
- Tap Join
- Tap Trust
- Tap Next - Remote Management
- Tap Setup Touch ID Later
- Tap Don't use
- Tap Passcode Options and choose your preference
- Enter Code of Choice
- Enter Code of Choice again to confirm
- Tap Continue - Appearance
- Tap Get Started - Welcome to iPad
- Tap Settings
- Tap About
- Tap Name
- Tap next to ipad
- Type Asset Tag Number - NIxxxxx (xxxxx = numbers on asset tag)
- Tap Done
- Power iPad Off
- Power iPad On
- Enter Code chosen in step 8
- Tap Settings
- Tap WiFi
- Tap Eduroam
- Tap Continue - USD Enabling Network Access
- Press Home button after Browser Screen changes to home page
- Slide Screen to the Left
- Tap Self Service
- Tap Allow
- Tap Continue - Self Service
- Tap Install - Microsoft Outlook (may already be installed)
- Tap Install - WebTMA Go
- Press home button
- Tap Outlook
- Enter your Email Address
- Tap Add Account
- Enter your email Password
- Tap Sign on
- Tap DUO Authentication of your choice
- Approve DUO on your DUO device
- Tap Maybe Later - Add Another Account
- Press home button
- Tap WebTMA Go
- Enter your USD Username (First.Last) for Login ID
- Enter your USD Password for Password
- Enter USD for Client
- Select Options
- URL should be https://www.webtma.net
