Employment and Income Verification

Issue/Question

A verification source (mortgage company, financial institution, lender, pre-employment screening, government/social service agency, etc.) is asking to verify my USD employment and income – how do I do this?

I need my employer to certify my Public Loan Forgiveness form – who can do this for me?

Cause

A verification source is asking employees for verification of employment and or income at USD/SDBOR.   Employees need the employer to certify and sign their Public Loan Forgiveness form.

Resolution

  1. The South Dakota Board of Regents utilizes an external vendor, Experian Verify for employment or income verifications. Instructions to verify employment through Experian Verify are attached
  2. For Public Loan Forgiveness forms: Employees can log into Experian Verify to instantly receive a completed certification by the employer; instructions are attached
