Wired Internet Speed is Slow

Issue/Question

The internet speed in our office dropped to around 35kb/s

Network files are opening very slowly or not at all

Environment

  • Wall network jack/port

Cause

Multiple causes

Resolution

  1. Try reconnecting the Ethernet connection at the wall and at your computer.
  2. Remove laptop from the docking station and reseat laptop on docking station.
  3. If you are still having problems, please contact the Service Desk providing the following information
    1. Name
    2. Computer NI number (located on a metal or white tag)
    3. Location of the computer
