Duo Prompt Displaying Gray Box in iOS

Issue/Question

Duo is displaying a gray box instead of a prompt

The Duo prompt does not load in iOS or macOS

Environment

• Duo Mobile
• iOS
• macOS

Cause

• Multiple causes
• Content restrictions are enabled on the device
• JavaScript not enabled in Safari

Resolution

1. Resolving Duo display issues in iOS or macOS
   1. iOS 12 or newer:
      1. Navigate to Settings
      2. Click Screen Time
      3. Click Content & Privacy Restrictions
      4. Click Content Restrictions
      5. Click Web Content
      6. Uncheck Limit Adult Websites to completely disable content restrictions
         Note: If you do not want to fully disable content restrictions, you can allow duosecurity.com within the Content Restrictions page
      7. Restart your device
2. Resolving Duo prompt issues in Outlook for iOS
   1. To resolve, enable JavaScript for Safari:
      1. Navigate to Settings > Safari > Advanced
      2. Toggle the JavaScript option on.
