Buying Your Rental Book

I would like to keep the book I have been renting. How can I buy it?

Decided to keep the textbook

Resolution

Note: By the last day of your rental period, you must either return or buy your book rental. Please refer to Akademos Rental Terms of Service. 

1. Log in to your USD bookstore account 
2. For computers or laptops, click Log in   
3. For cell phones, click Log In  or  
4. Login with your USD Account
5. Verify with DUO (two-factor authentication)
6. In the upper right hand corner click Your Name
7. Select Purchases
8. Find the order number with the rental book(s) you want to buy
9. Select Rental Control Panel for the rental book you want to buy
10. Click Buy this Book 
11. The buyout amount is the difference between your paid rental fees and the replacement value of the book
    Note: if you do nothing and do not buy the book back you will be charged more than if you chose to buy it
12. Follow prompts and your account will be updated to show the new status
