Using Webex for Teaching a Course

Zoom isn't working to teach my course, what else can I use?

Environment

Resolution

  1. Sign in to usd.webex.com using your USD credentials
  2. Click Schedule
  3. In Meeting Topic, type the name of the course as you would like it to appear to students
  4. In Meeting Password, type a password for students to access the Webex conference
  5. In Date and time, specify the date and time you want to meet
  6. Click Recurrence to schedule how often you would like this class to meet
  7. In Attendees, paste the email addresses of the students in the course, with all addresses separated by a comma
    Note: Follow instructions for Exporting Email Address from a d2l Course if you need help getting a list of email addresses
  8. To automatically record the sessions, click Show advanced options
  9. Click Scheduling Options
  10. Click the checkbox next to Automatic recording
  11. Click Schedule button to schedule the meeting and send out email notifications to all invitees

To Access a Recording

  1. Log in to usd.webex.com
  2. Click the Recordings button on the left
  3. Recordings will be listed and are sorted by date by default
