Changing Auto-Greeting on VoIP Phone

Issue/Question

I can't figure out how to remove the out-of-office message from my phone (658-xxxx)

Environment

  • VoIP Phone
  • Cisco Unity Connection

Cause

Incorrect greeting on VoIP phone

Resolution

To change the phone greeting

  1. Sign into your VoIP Voicemail
  2. Click Settings
    Note:     This will open a new window/tab
  3. Hover over Greetings
  4. Click View Greetings
  5. Uncheck the box next to the greeting you want to disable
  6. Click Save at the bottom of the list

To record a new greeting on phone

  1. Press
  2. Enter the voicemail PIN
  3. Press 4 for voicemail setup options
  4. Press 1 to record a new greeting
