Setting up Beacom Ticker Connection

Issue/Question

We need to have the Beacom Ticker program loaded onto a computer.

Environment

  • Beacom Lobby Daktronics Ticker
  • Windows Computer

Cause

New computer or new user needs to connect to the Beacom Ticker.

Resolution

  1. Launch Remote Desktop Connection
  2. Enter USD-ticker01 in the Computer: field
  3. Click Show Options
  4. Enter USD-ticker01\daktronics in the User name: field
  5. Check Allow me to save credentials
  6. Click Save As....
  7. Save the file on the Desktop named Ticker.rdp
  8. Launch Ticker.RDP from the desktop
  9. Log in using Daktronics account Password
