OneDrive is Almost Full

Issue/Question

I got a message that my OneDrive is nearly full. It looks like it's almost all an Outlook archive. Do I need this file here? If not, how do I delete it? Thanks!

  • Windows 10
  • OneDrive for Business
  • Archive

Resolution

Deleting Files from OneDrive

Note: If additional storage is needed for research purposes, consider creating a Microsoft Teams site or using on-site network storage

  1. Right click  lower left corner
  2. Select Open folder
  3. Cut Archive file
  4. Paste file in C:\Users\your.name\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook
  5. Right click  lower left corner
  6. Select Manage storage
  7. Delete Archive file
  8. Go to https://www.office.com/onedrive
  9. Sign in with your USD username and password
  10. Select Recycle bin
  11. Select Empty recycle bin
