How to set a default printer

I need a laptop set with a default printer

Cannot set printer as default printer

Environment

  • Windows 10, 11

Resolution

  1. Click Windows icon
  2. Select  Settings
  3. Click Bluetooth & devices
  4. Click Printers & scanners
  5. Confirm Let Windows manage my default printer is toggled to your preference
    1.  on
      • This sets last printer used as the default printer
    2.   off
      • Select your printer
      • Click Set as Default
