Cause
Steps to access Financial Aid Self Service Portal. If you have applied to more than one of the SD Board of Regents Universities, you may receive more than one email. You will only need to use one of these emails to log into the system. Once you log into the system, you will be able to see your financial aid information for all Universities.
Resolution
Note: Financial Aid Self Service is only accessible once you have been awarded financial aid. The Financial Aid Department will send you an e-mail when you have been awarded.
Current Students
- Log into myUSD Portal
- Below Quick Links click FA - Financial Aid Self-Service
- You are now logged into Financial Aid Self Service Menu
- Select your University
- Click Continue
- The financial aid tab should be selected, you can now click one of the following options
- Financial Aid Status
- Eligibility
- Award
- General Financial Aid
- Federal Shopping Sheet
- Click Student Portal (this is a different portal than current students above)
- Enter your Student ID in User ID
Note: Your Student ID is in an email sent to the email address you specified on your FAFSA application.
- Click Forgot Pin
Note: If you receive error: Authorization Failure - Security Question is not set up and are a current/past student or employee of a South Dakota University system, you will need to log in through the Current Students procedures
- Enter your answer in Security questions
- Click Submit Answer
- Enter a new PIN in New PIN and Re-enter new PIN
Note: New pin must be 10 characters, containing both numbers and letters
- On the left, click Financial Aid
- Click Financial Aid Self Service Menu
- Click and Select your Campus
- Click Continue
- The financial aid tab should be selected, you can now click one of the following options
- Financial Aid Status
- Eligibility
- Award
- General Financial Aid
- Federal Shopping Sheet
