Cannot Sign a PDF

Issue/Question

I can't digitally sign a PDF on my Macs

I am having trouble getting an electronic signature on PDF documents

I have a signature line on a fillable pdf and when I print the form there is no signature on the form

Unable to use the digital field or virtual signature on PDF files received

Environment

  • Adobe Acrobat

Cause

 

Resolution

  1. Change default for PDFs to Adobe Reader
  2. Click Fill & Sign
  3. Click Sign
    Note: If this is the first time making a signature click Add Signature
  4. Enter desired signature name
  5. Click Apply
  6. Click the location to place the signature
  7. Save document
