Printer is Requiring a Specific Paper Type

Issue/Question

Printer is asking to select Thick 3 option

Have to press OK every time we print

When I try to print anything it pops up on the printer screen “unexpected paper size” or “Load Tray 1”

Environment

  • Toshiba copier
  • Network printer
  • Local printer

Cause

Printer preferences is set to a specific paper type

Resolution

  1. Go through the menu on the printer and set paper size and type to Any
  2. Click
  3. Type Control Panel
  4. Click Control Panel
  5. Click View Devices and Printers
  6. Click Printers & scanners
  7. Click the problem printer
  8. Click Printing Preferences
  9. Change Paper type to Any or Unspecified
