Cannot Connect to Cisco Jabber

I am unable to connect to Cisco Jabber

Cisco Jabber opens but does not load or connect

My jabber is not working correctly. It doesn’t show I am online and I am not able to message anyone.

My Jabber is not working, giving me an error that it can’t load.

Error: Cannot communicate with server

Error: Help us resolve your problem. Create a report that contains the Cisco Jabber log file from your computer. The report is confidential and anonymous.

Environment

  • Cisco Jabber

Resolution

Reboot Computer and try connecting again.  If issue persists follow steps below

Repair Jabber Installation

  1. Click 
  2. Type Control
  3. Click Control Panel
  4. Select Programs and Features
  5. Select Cisco Jabber
  6. Click Repair
  7. Follow Prompts
  8. Sign into Jabber

Reset Jabber

  1. Sign out of Jabber
  2. Click Reset Jabber
  3. Click Reset to confirm
  4. Sign back in
  5. If the issue persists, please contact the Service Desk with the following information: 
    1. Asset Tag of the computer
    2. Contact Phone number
