Requesting to Have Equipment Moved

Issue/Question

Move computer equipment across the room

Please move a printer to a new desk

We would like to temporarily swapped computers from two offices

Assistance with moving out my computer

I need to move my VoIP phone

Environment

  • Printer
  • Computer
  • Television (TV)
  • Voice Over IP (VoIP) Phones

Resolution

  1. As much prior notice needs to be provided as possible,  Moves cannot be done the same day the request is submitted 
    1. Have each person moving label their items with masking tape, Blue painters tape works best, (we can provide this if needed) 
      • Include their name
      • location they are moving to
    2. Verify new location will have the necessary connections
      • Power
      • Network
  2. Contact the Service Desk with the following information:
    1. Current location of equipment
    2. Where the equipment should be moved
    3. Date and time(s)
