Reporting Slow Operation on Lawrence Login Node

Issue/Question

Experienced very slow execution of commands

 Use pip or conda to install a package in my profile and the package has a size of like 200 mb then it takes like an hour to download

Environment

• HPC System(High Performance Computing) 
• Lawrence (Lawrence.usd.edu)

   5. Kind of Job:
      1. Batch Jobs – submitted via qsub command or sbatch command. Uses job script
      2. Interactive Jobs – submitted via “qlogin” or “srun –pty bach” and can be run on a shell session on a particular compute note.
      3. or you can indicate that you do not know
