Excel Zooms to 200% After Opening Spreadsheet in Smart Classroom

Issue/Question

Excel zooms in after opening document

 Every time I enter anything into a cell in excel the screen zooms in super close. 

Environment

  • Smart Classroom
  • Microsoft Excel

Cause

Microsoft ink and the SMART pen causes excel to Zoom in.

Resolution

  1. Change from Microsoft Ink to SMART Ink in the SMART software settings:
    Note: This will make your annotations over documents not save with the document anymore. 
    Note: This is a setting on an individual User Profile. Changing the setting for yourself will not affect other users of the computer.
    1. Click the​ SMART Ink Pen selector:​​​​​ Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
    2. Click the Settings Gear in the lower right
    3. Click Microsoft Office Settings
    4. Change the Toggle under In Microsoft Office Edit Mode, use the following by default: to Use SMART Ink so that my ink doesn't permanently affect my content
    5. Click Apply
    6. Click OK
