Getting Started with Copilot

Note: Microsoft Copilot is an AI assistant that helps you draft content, summarize information or transcripts from Microsoft Teams Meetings, answer questions, and automate everyday tasks.

• Open Copilot (in Edge, Microsoft 365 apps, or Teams)
• Type a question or request in plain language, just like you would ask a colleague
• Refine results by asking follow-up questions or giving more detail

When to Use Work vs. Web (Copilot Paid License)

• Work: Use this when you want answers based on your organization’s data, such as emails, files, meetings, or Teams chats. This is best for internal tasks, project work, or anything specific to USD.
• Web: Use this for general knowledge, research, or up-to-date information from the internet (e.g., trends, how-to guidance, or external topics).

Note: Not all products featured are available within our license. Some features may incur pay-as-you-go charges. The per-user subscription currently includes capabilities such as: 

• Copilot Chat in Microsoft 365, the primary interface to ask, create, analyze, and complete tasks through natural language
• Copilot experiences across Microsoft 365 applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, and Teams
• Microsoft built agents and experiences such as Researcher, Analyst, and Facilitator*
  Note: If you are using Copilot studio to create an agent, be sure to build using standard orchestration which is currently within our pricing model.
• Work IQ grounding across emails, calendar, files, people, and organizational context
• Access to multiple models that power Copilot experiences, applied to match each task
