Overview

Microsoft Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) Safe Links is a product USD purchased to protect the University from phishing, ransomware, and other malicious activity embedded in email and documents.

Links in emails and Office documents may appear differently when you view them or hover over them. Safe Links wraps links in a pattern that matches https://...safelinks.protection.outlook.com...

If ATP determines a link to be malicious when you click it, you will see a warning in your browser stating that the website is blocked because it might not be safe.

Benefits

Safe Links prevents malicious web sites from stealing your password or infecting your computer with Ransomware.

Available To

Safe Links protects email and office documents for all University students, faculty, and staff.

Cost

There is no cost for using Safe Links.
