Tips:
- Both Salary Change EPAFs require the same steps to process. The difference is if it’s an hourly rate or annual salary.
- The majority of the EPAF will pre-populate what is already listed in Banner in the NBAJOBS screen.
- Both temporary salary change EPAFs can be used to make salary or hourly rate adjustments on temporary appointments that have a beginning and end date on a Job record.
- These EPAFs cannot be used to make changes to Overload records.
- For EPAF Errors, please visit the EPAF Error Guide.
- Salary Change – Salaried – SLCTMS (Temporary Positions)
- Use SLCTMS (Salary Change for Salaried Temporary Jobs) to make changes to a salaried employee's position that has an end date. Common examples include adjustment to adjunct faculty salaries following census data shows the amount needs to be increased or reduced.
- Salary Change – Hourly – SLCTMH (Temporary Positions)
- Use SLCTMH (Salary Change for Hourly Temporary Jobs) to make changes to an hourly employee's position that has an end date. A common example is that BOR Payroll process updates employee records due to a minimum wage increase. If a work-study, student, or temporary employee's current pay rate falls below the new minimum wage, the process automatically inserts a new effective date and updates the employee's record accordingly.
When beginning the EPAF, you will need to complete the initial steps in the landing page of our EPAF Guide to create and or find the employee’s ID. After you have completed the general identification phase and clicked on the “Go” button, the next screen requires you to choose the position which you want to change the FOPAL string on.
