Receiving Accommodation Memos from a Different Institution

Question

I received a student's accommodation memo issued by an entity other than the USD Office of Accessibility; what do I do?

Answer

  1. If the institution is in South Dakota:
    1. Refer the student/institution to the USD Office of Accessibility at accessibility@usd.edu, 605-658-3745, or ID Weeks Library Room 103
      1. Student will register with our office
      2. Office of Accessibility will review, approve, and send out the student's accommodations prior to implementation
  2. If the institution is out-of-state:
    1. Refer the student/institution to the USD Office of Accessibility at accessibility@usd.edu, 605-658-3745, or ID Weeks Library Room 103
      1. Student will register with our office and undergo the intake process
      2. Office of Accessibility will review, write, and send out the student's accommodations prior to implementation
