How do I use Accommodate?

Answer

Note: the Office of Accessibility will be managing accommodations through the software Accommodate. Faculty will be able to see accommodations set up for USD students. 

  1. Go to Accommodate
    Note: the software will be available the end of April
  2. Click Faculty
  3. Sign into Accommodate using single sign on (SSO)
  4. The News Feed is displayed
  5. On the left the following options are available
    1. Home 
      1. By clicking, go back to the News Feed page
    2. Accommodation Letters
      1. Any active Accommodation letters will be shown here
    3. Courses
      1. All your courses are listed under Course Catalog
      2. Click a course and the following is available under these tabs
        1. Course Details
        2. Enrolled Students (and whether Accommodations are listed for USD students)
          Note: there may be cases of non-USD students 
        3. Alternative Test Room Bookings
        4. Exam
    4. Caption Requests
    5. My Account
  6. A video of the process is available in Panapto: Faculty Introduction to Accommodate 
    1. Change sign in from Panaopto to USD login
    2. Click Sign in
    3. User your USD Email and password to gain access
