Receiving No Dial Tone

Issue/Question

My office phone does not have a dial tone and it does not ring when called

Environment

  • Cisco Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP)

Cause

 

Resolution

  1. Power Cycle the phone:
    1. Disconnect the ethernet cord that plugs into the wall
    2. Reconnect the ethernet cord
  2. Test and verify issue resolved
