Can a resident change rooms and how can they do it?

Answer

Yes, residents are allowed to change rooms. Residents can typically change rooms, but certain times of the year have restrictions.

  1. No room changes are allowed from July 7th until the first two weeks of the fall semester have finished.
  2. Room changes can be requested after the first two weeks of the fall and spring semester.
  3. During the semester, residents should reach out to their RA to start the process.
  4. Over the summer, residents can email housing@usd.edu or complete the room change process if it is open.
