Computer won't turn on

Computer keeps beeping and flashing red when turning on

My desktop computer is beeping and a light is flashing and will not boot

Environment

  • Microsoft Windows
  • HP Desktop Computer

Cause

Hardware or software failure

Resolution

  1. Hold down power button for at least 20 seconds
  2. Wait 30 seconds
  3. Turn system back on
