Shutting Down or Rebooting A Point Of Sale (POS)

Issue/Question

How do I restart a register

Environment

  • Touch Dynamic QK10 Point of Sale  (POS) Register

Resolution

Shutdown

  1. Login to POS with Admin Cashier ID and Pin
  2. Press Make A Selection
  3. Press Manager Functions
  4. Press Exit to Shell
  5. Press Yes
  6. Press Shutdown POS
  7. Enter your Admin Cashier ID and Pin
  8. Press Shutdown POS
  9. Press Yes
  10. Wait a few seconds after POS shuts off
  11. Press Power Switch to turn POS back on

Rebooting

  1. Login to POS with Admin Cashier ID and Pin
  2. Press Make A Selection
  3. Press Manager Functions
  4. Press Exit to Shell
  5. Press Yes
  6. Press Shutdown POS
  7. Enter your Admin Cashier ID and Pin
  8. Press Reboot POS
  9. Press Yes

Best Practices on Day of Event

  1. Go through Shutdown POS process
  2. 10-15 minutes before doors open log in as cashier
