How do I insert a picture in Word?

Answer

The easiest way to insert an image would be to go to the Insert tab and then click on either the Picture or Online Pictures (Clip Art for Word 2016) command in the Illustrations group.

  1. Picture: Use this option if you would like to insert an image that you have saved on your computer.

  2. Online Pictures (Clip Art for Word 2016): Use this option if you would like to use some of the stock sounds, images, photographs, or movies that Microsoft provides through Office.com.
