Requesting Caller Be Blocked from Reaching VoIP Phones

Issue/Question

I am receiving a large number of unwanted robocalls or sales calls

I need a phone number blocked from calling my office phone

I received a call from Loraine from Adobe Events Team about Adobe Acrobat VIP/Perpetual Licenses

Environment

• Cisco Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) Phone

Resolution

1. Call blocking is not an effective deterrent for unwanted sales calls, SPAM, and robocalls
   1. Please see The FCC's guide on stopping unwanted robocalls and optionally file a complaint
   2. Block requests for these types of calls will not be approved
2. If the unwanted calls pose a potential safety issue:
   1. File an Informational Report with the University Police Department with the number and reason for the block
   2. Contact the Service Desk with the case number to create a Service Request for approval
