Receiving Error Printing to HP Printers After OSX Update

Issue/Question

When I try to print, I get this error

Error: "Matterhorn.framework" will damage your computer. Report malware to Apple to protect other users. 

Error: "HPDM.framework" will damage your computer. Report malware to Apple to protect other users. 

Environment

  • macOS
  • HP printers

Cause

An update to macOS 10.14 (Mojave) and 10.15 (Catalina) revoked a certificate required for printing

Resolution

Note: You may experience font issues when printing after this fix.  This is an HP issue that is not resolveable at this time

  1. Download this file
  2. Note: You may need to right click the link and click Save As
  3. Run file
    Note: You may still get the error message, but the print job should complete
