Printers Are Unavailable-Not Connected When Previously Connected

Issue/Question

Printers are unavailable. Getting a message that something is outdated.

I took my laptop home last night to do some work and now today whenever I try to print anything it tells me no printer installed.

I receive the following error when trying to print to any printer
     Error: "The local print spooler service is not running. Please restart the spooler or restart the machine."

Environment

  • Windows 10
  • Printers
  • Troubleshooter

Cause

Print Policy's need to be updated

Resolution

  1. Type CON in Search Bar
  2. Select Control Panel
  3. Click View Devices and Printers
  4. Right Click Printer
  5. Select Troubleshoot
  6. Follow Prompts
  7. Reboot computer
