Reporting Problems Accessing Department Share Folders or Files

Issue/Question

Cannot open department share folders

Getting error opening or saving to department share folders

Error: Can not be saved. OR There was an error processing a page. A file I/O error has occurred

Error: An unexpected network error occurred

Environment

• Windows
• Mapped drive shares

Cause

Issue with the DFS system

Resolution

1. Verify that computer is connected to sdbor.local network
2. If still not able to access share folders, please contact the Service Desk with the following information: 
   1. Time the error occurred
   2. Error message
   3. Name of the file or folder
   4. Name of application reporting the error (Excel, Quickbooks, etc...)
