Resolution

Cisco Webex is a HIPAA compliant solution for meeting with remote patients

  1. Set your administrative staff to be able to schedule Webex appointments on your behalf https://help.webex.com/en-us/nub7z8c/Allow-Another-Host-to-Schedule-Meetings-or-Training-Sessions-on-Your-Behalf
  2. Schedule patient appointment in your clinician scheduling system
  3. Send patient appointment email and Webex tips https://www.webex.com/content/dam/webex/eopi/assets/healthcare/AdministrativePreparePatientsForTelehealtht.pdf
  4. Schedule appointment in Webex adding the patient as an Attendee
  5. Copy Webex details to clinician's calendar so they also have the Webex appointment information
  6. Join the meeting at the set time
