Restricting Access to VALT Per Computer

Issue/Question

Restrict access to VALT to specific computers via whitelisting computer mac address

I can not connect to usd-valt.usd.edu

Environment

  • VALT
  • Recording
  • Counseling

Cause

HIPAA requires restrictions on users and computers.

Resolution

  1.  Please contact the Service Desk with the following information:
  • Computer NI
  • Computer mac address (onboard wireless is more secure than a dongle that could move to a different computer)
