Excel Solver Add-in Not Working

Issue/Question

The Excel Add-on Solver will not run. It will download but then it says it cannot connect

Tries to open Zip file, states disabled Macros "Source of this file is untrusted." in Excel

Environment

• Microsoft Excel

Cause

The add-on needs to be downloaded before attempting to install

Resolution

1. Download the Zip file from the link provided by your Instructor
2. Right-Click on the file and select Extract All
3. Click Extract
4. Right-Click on the file and select Properties
5. Select the General tab
6. Click Unblock in the Security box
7. Click OK
8. Open the file
