Reporting a Broken HP Computer

Issue/Question

My laptop is broken

My laptop won't turn on or display the screen

Top row on the keyboard is not working

I accidentally spilled liquid on my laptop

My laptop case is broken

I have accidentally damaged my laptop

Environment

  • HP EliteBook 840 G5
  • HP EliteBook 840 G6

Cause

 

Resolution

  1. If this is a University owned laptop, please contact the Service Desk with the following information: 
    1. The asset tag for the computer
      Note: This should be similar to NI12345
    2. When the computer can be picked up
  2. If this is a personally owned laptop, please bring in the laptop to the Service Desk in the ID Weeks Library Room 104 to check in the laptop
    Note: We only support hardware repairs on HP ProBook and EliteBook models
