Mapping a Network Drive on macOS

Assistance mapping to network drive

Environment

  • macOS

Resolution

Note:  To map to the network share you need to be connected to the network via Ethernet

  1. Click Go on Finder Menu or press COMMAND+K
  2. Click Connect to Server
  3.  Type network path in Server Address 
    1.  smb://usd.local/storage/network_share 
       Example: smb://usd.local/storage/student_services

      Note: If logged in as itsadmin use step b.
    2.  smb://your.username:*@usd-shares04/its
  4. Click Connect
  5. Enter your credentials if asked
  6. Click OK
