Computer is going to sleep mode and not waking back up
When I plug in a second display on the HDMI port on my laptop I have frequent crashes
Unable to connect to Wireless
Environment
Cause
Settings are causing sleep or hibernation issues
Resolution
- Press the SPACEBAR on the keyboard instead of the wireless mouse
Change Power Options settings
- Open Control Panel
- Click Power Options
- On current selected, Preferred plans click Change plan settings
- Verify Turn off the display and Put the computer to sleep are set to Never. If not change to Never
- Click Change plan settings
- Click Change settings that are currently unavailable if settings displayed are greyed out
- Verify Balanced - Require a password on wakeup - Setting is set to No. If not change to No
- Click next to Allow hybrid sleep. Verify Setting is set to Off. If not click On and change to Off
- Click next to Hibernate after. Verify Setting is set to Never. If not click xx Minutes and change to 0
- Click OK and close the Edit Plan Settings window and then close the Control Panel window
