Monitor not working

Environment

  • Monitor

Cause

Unknown cause

Resolution

  1. Make sure power cord is plugged into an outlet
  2. Unplug power cord from monitor
  3. Wait 15 seconds
  4. Plug the monitor back in
  5. Press monitor's power button
    Note:  If power button sticks, monitor will need to be replaced
  6.  If monitor still doesn't turn on manually, shutdown computer
  7. Change power strips
  8. Press monitor's power button
  9. Re-seat video cables at monitor and computer
    Note: Ensure monitors are connected to graphics card if card is installed
  10. Boot computer
  11. If issue still persists, try different display cable
  12. If issue remains, replace monitor
