Requesting Ethernet Ports in Dorm Rooms

Issue/Question

I do not have an ethernet port in my room and would like to request one.

Outlet appears to be a phone(rj11) port not an ethernet port

Environment

  • USD Campus Dorms
  • USD Campus

Resolution

  1. All Dorms have at least two ethernet ports 
  2. Please look around your room - there will be an outlet type box with two network ports
  3. Students contact University Housing if you are unable to locate the network ports and contact the Service Desk to report any issues you are having with the ports
