Cannot Log In on Mac Computer

When I sign in on my Mac computer it just spins

Environment

  • Mac OS Ventura

Cause

Multiple causes

Resolution

  1. If not able to sign into an account, delete the account and recreate it
    1. Sign into computer with a different administrative account
    2. Open Settings
    3. Click Users & Groups
    4. Click next to the user account to delete
    5. Click Delete Account...
    6. Enter password if requested
    7. Select one of the options
    8. Click Delete Account
      Note: Deleting the account may take some time
